Pietro Fragiacomo
(Pirano deIstria (Trieste), 1856 - Venice, 1922) was an Italian painter. Born at Pirano deIstria near Trieste, Fragiacomo moved with his family to Venice, where he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1878 after a period as a worker in Treviso. He then abandoned his studies barely one year later to devote himself more freely to painting from life, often in the company of his friend the painter Giacomo Favretto. He won a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889 in Paris and took part in the Munich International Exhibition of the same year, as well as later editions. Drawing inspiration from the Venetian lagoon and always characterised by a crepuscular sense of nature, his landscapes took on Symbolist overtones at the end of the century. He won the Prince Umberto Prize at the Milan Triennale of 1891 and was a regular participant from 1895 to 1922 at the Venice Biennale, which held a solo show of his work in 1910 and a posthumous retrospective in 1924.

Louis Masreliez (Adrien Louis Masreliez) född 1748 i Paris död 19 mars 1810, var en svensk målare, tecknare, grafiker och inredningsarkitekt. Han var äldre bror till ornamentsbildhuggaren Jean Baptiste Masreliez och son till Jacques Adrien Masreliez, också han en ornamentsbildhuggare, som kallats till Sverige från Frankrike för att medverka vid uppförandet av Stockholms slott. Jacques Adrien Masreliez grundade således konstnärssläkten Masreliez i Sverige. Louis Masreliez kom till Sverige 1753. Han började sin utbildning vid Ritarakademien vid 10 års ålder. Vid ritarakademien saknades utbildning i måleri, varför Masreliez inledde studier vid Lorens Gottmans verkstad. 1769 tilldelades han ett statligt studiestipendium som han använde till en studieresa till Paris och Bologna. 1773 lämnade han Bologna och bosatte sig i Paris, där han bodde under åtta år. Han återvände till Sverige 1782, där han blev ledamot av Konstakademien och året därpå professor i historiemåleri. Han blev rektor för akademien 1802 och direktör 1805. SALUCCI, Alessandro
Italian painter, Roman school (b. 1590, Firenze, d. 1655/60, Roma). Italian painter. He specialized in imaginary architectural perspectives and harbour views, in which the figures were executed by other artists, most notably Jan Miel and Michelangelo Cerquozzi. His pictures were praised by contemporary and near contemporary writers, including Carlo Malvasia, and during the 17th century were popular with private collectors in both Florence and Rome. However, many of the paintings mentioned in contemporary sources remain untraced. He is first documented in Rome in 1628, when, with Andrea Sacchi and Pietro da Cortona, he worked on the fresco decorations of the Villa Sacchetti (now Chigi), Castelfusano (nr Ostia), to which he contributed personifications of the River Nile and the River Rh?ne (in situ). He became a member of the Accademia di S Luca in Rome in 1634, and after 1635 he was engaged on frescoes (in situ) depicting sacred subjects in S Maria in Vallicella, Rome. From the mid-1630s onward Salucci collaborated with Miel on the imaginary architectural subjects for which he is best known, including the Perspective with Portico
